The annual Goshen College International Student Club Coffeehouse is set to happen this Saturday. The event will take place in the Church-Chapel Fellowship Hall, and will include both a community potluck and performances. This is the second year where the International Student Club has combined both the potluck meal with the performances, and will look to have an evening full of culture, celebration and community.   For the fourth year in a row, the Good Library hosted its annual Geek Off event. Goshen College’s 65th annual Concerto-Aria concert took place this Saturday, Feb. 15 at Sauder Concert Hall, with memorable performances from GC’s Orchestra and soloists.  The evening began with Symphony No.1 in E minor by Joseph Mounsithiraj, a senior art major. The Goshen College Advocates’ fourth annual drag show took place in the Umble Center last Saturday. All students were welcomed by the Advocates affinity group to attend the free event and enjoy the performances. Four drag queens, Lily J. The Art Club hosted an art show reception in the Good Library gallery this past Friday, showcasing beautiful and intricately detailed artworks from the members of the club and outside contributors.  There were pieces from numerous mediums, such as paintings, drawings, printmaking, ceramics and sculptures available to view at the exhibition.This year’s art show had about 20-30 guests. The Goshen College Chamber Choir delivered a captivating performance  at Rieth Recital Hall on Friday, Jan. 18, offering a preview of their upcoming performance at the Indiana Music Educators Association professional development conference in Fort Wayne. Goshen College’s theater department may be small but it is filled with talented people, as seen by the program’s recent participation in the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. The Queen Singers, one of Goshen College’s singing ensebles, is set to return to the stage this Monday as a part of GC’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration. The group has been preparing for their performance, which will mark two years since the ensemble’s beginning. Goshen College’s Lavender Jazz band hit the stage with a show-stopping performance on Friday, Nov. 15, in Sauder Concert Hall. Sunday, Nov. 17, the Hershberger Art Gallery hosted a reception for local artist Jake Webster’s exhibit, “A Conversation between Agony and Grief.” The reception was full of a mix of colleagues, community members and students.
