For this piece, I was assigned to create a self portrait, something I typically steer clear from as an artist. It was quite challenging as I wasn’t used to staring at myself for long periods of time and I felt uncomfortable. I had to produce a reflection of me that people would stare at and critique for themselves. “Picture, Me” was an opportunity to know myself better and let other people picture me the way I do.
