Americana trio ‘I’m With Her’ to play in Sauder
Goshen College will be hosting the trio I’m With Her on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Sauder Concert Hall. The performance is part of the 2018 Performing Arts Concert Series. The trio, which PopMatters described as “a beautiful cohesion of tight harmonies, acoustic brilliance, and fresh songwriting,” sings folk and bluegrass, mostly of their own composition. Yamato: The Drummers of Japan to perform at Sauder
The rhythmic pounding of drums will fill the air of Sauder Concert Hall. Starting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, the members of Yamato: The Drummers of Japan will take the stage as part of the 2017-2018 Performing Arts Series. Founded in 1993 in Japan’s Nara Prefecture, Yamato: The Drummers of Japan have performed over 2,500 times in 51 countries. Earthtones choral concert to take place this Saturday
The annual Earthtones concert is taking place this Saturday April 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall. Earthtones is the annual spring choral concert, and concert of world choral music. Students to perform with orchestra
Seven students will be performing individual arias and concertos with the Goshen College Symphony Orchestra in the 56th annual Concerto Aria concert. Men’s chorus announce 2015 tour
With spring break quickly approaching, the Men’s Chorus is preparing for their six-day tour to New Orleans. On Saturday, February 21st, the men will board their bus and make a few short stops in Indianapolis and Mississippi before reaching Nola, New Orleans, where they will perform in various churches, schools and also in a rest home. Spring Kick Off 2015 starts semester strong
The spring semester of 2015 started off with a bang this past Saturday night in Sauder Concert Hall as Goshen College students competed in Kick Off, a talent show held every semester and planned by Campus Activities Council. The Performing Arts Series for 2014-15 was announced at the Fort Wayne Philharmonic concert held in Sauder Hall last Friday night. Next year’s line-up will include: Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Lyle Lovett, The Peking Acrobats, Turtle Island Quartet with Nellie McKay, Indigo Girls, Silk Road Ensemble, Conspirare and Boston Brass and the Enso String Quartet. Gala sings a birthday tune for Sauder Hall
A sea of balding and white capped heads bobbed in appreciation to the opening swells of Os Justi preformed by the Goshen College Symphony Orchestra at the Homecoming Music Gala on Saturday. The alumni came out in full force, and students a little less so, to attend the event. Vance George to conduct upcoming choir concert
Under the direction of Vance George, award-winning conductor and Goshen College alumnus, the GC choirs will perform a concert with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra at 7 p.m. Sunday in Sauder Concert Hall. George graduated from GC in 1955 with a double major in voice and piano.
