A day in the life of Dash
Dash the black squirrel appeared for the first time two and a half years ago during Homecoming in 2022. By now, everyone on campus is familiar with the chipper, bright-eyed face of Goshen College’s resident mascot, Though, newer students may not know that Dash hasn’t always been revving up the crowd at sporting events. Dash’s Cache goes mobile
Goshen College Student Life started placing purple boxes in prominent places around campus in late October 2024, with the hope to improve accessibility of the college’s food pantry. Dash’s Mobile Cache is an extension of Dash’s Cache, a food pantry and free store for students located in the Student Life suite on the first floor of Wyse Hall. Meet Dash: GC’s new mascot
Goshen College unveiled its first-ever official mascot — Dash the black squirrel — at the Homecoming convocation Friday. Excitement was high on campus after the announcement. Erica Albertin, athletic director and chair of the mascot committee, felt a sense of relief at having a finalized campus representation. “You wouldn’t believe how much time went into bringing Dash to life,” she said.
