ISC Coffeehouse to feature students’ cultures
The International Student Club (ISC) is hosting their annual dinner and show this Saturday, March 19 beginning at 5 p.m. The dinner will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Church-Chapel and the show in Sauder Concert Hall. The ISC Coffeehouse will showcase the talents and stories of international students representing various nationalities on campus. Tickets can be purchased now at the Welcome Center or at the door. International Student Coffeehouse
Goshen College’s international students will take center stage on March 13 at the International Student Club Coffeehouse, an annual event with two parts: an international meal and a performance of dance, music and readings featuring the different countries represented at the college. The buffet-style meal will begin at 5 p.m. in the College Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall and the show will follow at 7 p.m. in Sauder Concert Hall. Coffeehouse serves up night full of international food, culture
The International Student Club entertained hundreds at the annual I.S.C. coffeehouse on Saturday. The evening began with Indian chicken curry, samosas, arroz con leche and many other foods with origins from around the world. The food was prepared by I.S.C. members and volunteers. Following the meal, performers acted, danced, played and sang to an energetic crowd in Sauder Concert Hall. The show began as students walked across the stage dressed in the traditional clothing of their home countries. International cultures: taste and see
With food and performances from around the world, the International Student Club coffeehouse will highlight the many cultures represented at Goshen College on Saturday. “Goshen College has lots of international students, and we want to show the different cultures to everyone,” said Pamela Pauw, a junior and one of the event organizers.
