Classmates and friends remember Millicent Morros
A memorial service for Millicent Morros, a Goshen College adult student who was shot and killed last week, was held Monday evening in Goshen College’s Newcomer Center. Seventy-five friends, family and coworkers attended Morros’ memorial service. Fellow classmates and coworkers reflected on her life between hymns, psalm readings and prayers. Goshen College student killed Monday morning
On Monday morning in downtown Goshen, Eric Haitsma, 51, shot and killed Millicent Morros, 48, and then shot and killed himself. Morros, a Goshen College student, was killed by Haitsma, her ex-boyfriend, in the 100 block of North Fifth Street at approximately 7:45 a.m. Morros arrived at work and had a brief discussion with Haitsma, who then shot her. Police arrived and found the two bodies in a parking lot on the east side of North Fifth Street.
