The moon opens the window to give me a path of light

Trees warping into what looks like a figure created by fear

The swing slowly moving with the wind caused by the night I look around yet it seems to be all clear

An endless field of agriculture slowly withering away from the cold

Crisp brown and red leaves on the ground

The puppy tugs and growls at the leash that’s now in my hold

I stare at her, all with just a frown

My feet soaked from the water absorbed grass

Music in my ears to calm my ease

The time is going by fast I’m going to freeze

My ankle twists as I discover yet another hole created by the dog

The moon becomes shielded by clouds and everything around me is engulfed by fog.
