The Goshen College art department held a reception and award ceremony on Sunday to recognize the closing of the juried student art exhibit which was on display in the Hershberger art gallery. The exhibition featured student art selected by juror Judy Wenig-Horswell, associate professor emerita of art. At the ceremony, Atty Montague, a junior interpreting major, received the best in show award for her painting “Discarded.” She said that the inspiration behind the piece is political. “[I am] incredibly honored to have received this award. Thanks everyone who made this possible,” she said.
