The Goshen College men’s soccer team picked up a 3-1 win against the Taylor University Trojans Wednesday night, improving their conference record to 1-2 in the Crossroads League and improving their overall record to 2-9-1.
This win marks the first time the Maple Leafs have won a conference game in two years. Dan Sullivan, the men’s soccer head coach, said that it was a long time coming. “The guys tonight, they’re very, very excited,” he said.The Leafs conference play is just beginning. They have only played three of the nine total games against Crossroad League opponents. Three of the remaining six games will be against nationally-ranked teams.
Their next match is on Saturday, where the Leafs will play at Bethel. Kickoff is at 5 p.m.
