During last night’s loss to the Mount Vernon Nazarene Cougars, senior Kyla Foster recorded 22 rebounds, surpassing her career high of 14 that she set at Huntington last week.

This performance means that Foster has the most rebounds in a collegiate women’s basketball game across any level (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA) by a player at an Indiana school this season.

Foster’s total from the game also left her two off of the program record, which stands at 24 set by Dana Selzer in 1994. Her performance is also the most rebounds by a GC player in the last decade, surpassing Taniece Chapman’s record that was set in 2022.

She recorded 15 more rebounds than the next closest player and Foster also recorded exactly half of the Maple Leafs’ rebounds in the game.

She led the Maple Leafs in points with 17 and was only one point behind the leading scorer for the game.
