The Goshen College men’s and women’s bowling teams finished the Crossroads League Tournament last week with a fifth and a third place finish respectively. The event was held at Western Bowl in Indianapolis.

Rebekah Muzyk led the women, taking second overall with a score of 622 across three games, with her best game being her final one with 223 pins. Goshen’s second highest varsity bowler was Abigail Kenestrick, who placed 22nd overall with 524 pins. The highest Goshen bowler on the junior varsity team was sophomore Samantha Bean, placing 14th with 551 pins, six pins ahead of her JV teammate Kami Kimes who had 545 pins. 

Matt Dominiano led the men’s varsity bowlers with 654, placing ninth overall and third among varsity bowlers, one spot above his varsity teammate, Brendan Riley, who scored 648. For the JV team, Da’Veon Welch led Goshen with a score of 675, scoring 276 in his second game. He tied with Marian’s Logan Brewer for sixth overall.

The tournament was originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, but due to inclement weather, was rescheduled to last Wednesday.

The women will be bowling this Valentine’s weekend in the Hoosier Classic, which will take place at Royal Pin in Indianapolis.
