The baseball team has been busy playing six seven-inning games in six days, all Mid-Central College Conference contests. The games began last Thursday, March 31 when the Maple Leafs hosted Spring Arbor University for a double-header, only to turn around and travel to Spring Arbor, Michigan on Saturday for another double-header against the same team.

The first set of games saw Spring Arbor come away with two wins; the second day saw one win for each team as the Maple Leafs beat Spring Arbor on the last game of the series. Pitcher Omar Hernandez, a senior, contributed to the win, striking out seven and walking none in a game changing performance. On Tuesday, April 5, Goshen hosted Marian University for the Maple Leafs’ third double header. Marian came away victorious in both games, holding the Leafs to one run.

The Maple Leafs record now stands at 7-26 overall and 2-8 in the MCC. The Leafs will host Indiana Wesleyan University today, April 7, for a double header starting at 2 p.m.
