Each school year Goshen College holds blood drives along with all other schools in the MCC conference. Each individual school picks two athletes to represent them, who organize the two blood drives in a given school year. This year the MCC has decided to add a third blood drive to its schedule.

Nate Manning of the Men’s Basketball team and Kelsey Morris of the Women’s Softball team were chosen to be the Goshen College representatives and have been for the last two years. They have each received a scholarship from the American Red Cross for their efforts in organizing each blood drive.

“It’s really tough for students to donate here at Goshen College because of the large number of international and SST students on campus, but still people are willing to donate when they can. It’s great to see that,” said Morris.

The next blood drive will be this Friday, January 27th from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Union Gym on the Goshen College campus. Lots of volunteers are needed and every effort is greatly appreciated by both the American Red Cross and those that need blood. So come out to donate blood and you could save a life.
