As two college athletes, we want to tell you all why disc golf is the most rigorous sport that Goshen College offers:

As college athletes, we have a strict practice schedule that entails three mandatory practices a week, which adds up to over six whole hours of practice … Yeah, our lives are tough. Two hours a day … NO water breaks … NO rest. This doesn’t even include the work done outside of team practice.

The rugged terrain: Each tournament is a new environment. No course is the same; some have big scary trees that get in the way of our throws. Like, why don’t the trees move? It’s like they want to get hit by discs.

It takes blood, sweat and tears. It gets crazy out there on the course. For example, sometimes our shoes get muddy, and our feet might even get wet. You are almost guaranteed to run into thorns and get attacked by mosquitoes.

Don’t even get us started on the coaches; we didn’t even have practice last week because they were too busy in Illinois playing some tournament called The Worlds. Evidently it’s a big deal. Our head coach has Lyme disease but still went to Worlds … Priorities in the right places I guess.

As the most popular sport on campus, everyone is talking about the Disc Golf team. When we wear our purple tracksuits, we get tons of stares so we know they’re jealous.

Thanks and see you NARPs around campus (Non athletic regular people).
