Olivia Gabrielson — Olivia recalled a time on vacation when she told her mom she could rock climb up a steep rock in California. Her confidence going into this experience stemmed from a time she climbed halfway up a wall in PE.

Emerson Landis — His friends approached him in the middle of the day on Saturday, saying that someone bailed from their group who were going to a concert. They arrived in Chicago at what they thought was the correct hotel and the front desk person told them that they were at the wrong hotel. So they went to the hotel that they were told was the correct one. The person at that desk said “I don’t know why she sent you here, this is not the right one.” Three hotels later, they finally made it to the correct one and just in time for the concert.

Nata Fontan — Last Thursday, Nata’s older son Frankie had asked him to “teach him some soccer moves” since he recently joined a soccer team. Nata’s ego was fed. It was the first day after what had been weeks of snow on the ground. Nata was excited to get outside.

He proceeded to demonstrate his technical skills as a former left-wing forward by driving the ball in fast motion and getting ready to take a shot at the goal. Well, that shot was never completed. He had not realized there was a slippery slope on the ground, covered by black ice. So there he was, laying on his back, all wet and covered with mud. He looked at his son and said “Make sure you don’t do that, Frankie.” And they both just laughed out loud. Lucky for him, only his ego was hurt.

Cal Swartzendruber — Cal accomplished a lot (in The Sims).
