A limited edition issue of The Record in 1988, titled “The Funkmachine,” ran articles that were satirical or humorous. Headlines included “Goshen hails Uncle Sam!” and “Students heft kegs for tomorrow.”The staff published a section called “News in Briefs,” which included short snippets of news. They also included this shot—a staff photo appropriately titled, “Staff in Briefs.”
Students in the photo were Steve Graber (back center), Ryan Newswanger (with hands in the air), Jay Shearer (with fish lips), Fred Schlabach (far left), Sue Schlabach (far right) and Duane Eby (front).
