After announcing the dedication of the new College Union, The Record included a blueprint for a new girls dormitory. (Which serves as the dining hall today.)

The plans outlined accomodations for 94 women;  with 52 on the second floor and 42 on the third floor.

The building would follow a “modern design,” the article said, including a fireproof structure, a lobby at street level, and a dining hall with a capacity of 600.
