News Briefs

Java Junction is joining March Madness:

Java Junction will be offering upset specials during this week of March Madness. These unique deals will be active for only one hour after the final buzzer.

Correction:

In the March 12 issue of the Record, the news article “The Globe crew goes to New York,” stated that the Globe was named the best college radio station among institutions with less than 10,000 people. In actuality, while the Globe was nominated for this award, it did not win.

Sister Care Workshop: This weekend!

On March 20 and 21, there is a free workshop hosted by Sister Care, an organization that stems from Mennonite Women USA.

At this workshop, we will explore ideas such as body image, self-worth, managing stress, making life decisions and other topics related to women our age and our struggles. Two guests, Carolyn Heggen and Rhonda Keener, will be presenting. Both women are a part of the Sister Care organization. There will also be home-cooked food, provided by local churches.

The workshop will be held on March 20 from 7-9 p.m. and March 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To register, just join the event on the Facebook page. For any further information or questions, contact Maggie Weaver or Beth Martin Birky.

Open Positions in the Admissions Office

The Admission Office is now taking applications for paid student positions for 2015-2016.

Counselor Interns and Ambassadors interact with prospective students during visits and communication follow up. This is an awesome way to develop your leadership skills and help your college attract and enroll more great students to Goshen College.

Call Team members interact with prospective students by phone and email and provide crucial communication with students before they apply to GC.

Operations Interns provide critical support to the office by assisting with document processing, data entry and various projects.

The priority deadline for applications is Friday, March 20. Interviews will be scheduled for the end of March and the beginning of April.

Links to applications for both Student Ambassador & Call Team and for the Counselor Intern & Operations Intern can be viewed in the campus communicator and on the website. Email the Admissions office with any questions you may have at: admissions@goshen.edu.
