January 27 marked Goshen College’s most recent blood drive. Sixty-six individuals arrived at the Union building to donate their time and blood. Though some were naturally deferred due to illness or other medical reasons, 52 useful units of blood were collected and transported to a Red Cross center.

One of the student-athletes who organized the event was Kelsey Morris, a junior. Regarding the student turnout, she said, “The past drive was pretty low in numbers and we can always use more students donating blood.”

Students considering donating in the future can mark Friday, March 30 on their calendars. The location has not yet been determined, as the usual spot in the Union gym will be under construction. Exact details will be forthcoming as the date approaches.
