Romero elevator down multiple times
The elevator in the Octavio Romero Apartments, the primary residential building for upperclassmen on campus, has seen an increase of issues in the last few months. In addition, Romero has seen an increase of fire alarms recently, leading to questions about the alarm system, and making students reluctant to leave the building when the alarm goes off. Dash’s Cache goes mobile
Goshen College Student Life started placing purple boxes in prominent places around campus in late October 2024, with the hope to improve accessibility of the college’s food pantry. Dash’s Mobile Cache is an extension of Dash’s Cache, a food pantry and free store for students located in the Student Life suite on the first floor of Wyse Hall. The Leaf Raker is back in business
With West Lawn dining reopened, the Leaf Raker has been able to return to its intended duties. Ben Bontrager, vice president of finance and operations, explained, “The Leaf Raker offered a nice complement to Westlawn dining with great sandwich options off the grill, smoked meats prepared in-house by our own Jeremy Corson, and an assortment of other ‘comfort’ foods prepared to order.” He also shared that it is a good quick service option as students are able to place orders and take their food to go.
