Connect Goshen Day fundraises for GC
Yesterday was Connect Goshen Day — an annual giving day hosted by Goshen College every fall. On campus, the Gunden Commons in Westlawn were occupied by various stations and activities to engage students and the campus community in thanking donors and connecting with one another. Jill Koop Liechty ’90, manager for annual giving, is in charge of the event. Vox Profundi: Brotherhood on the road
Vox Profundi, Goshen College’s low voice choir, wrapped up their weeklong tour over spring break with a home concert in Sauder Concert Hall on March 2. They began with their first performance in Sarasota, Fl. after a 23 hour bus ride, and worked their way up the coast — performing in Georgia and Ohio before returning to Indiana. The theme for this year’s tour was “Let All the World in Every Corner Sing,” which was also the title of their opening piece by Ralph Vaughn Williams. Dreaming in beats
Along with homework, exams and late night study sessions, Lars Razor, a senior communication major, and Matija Margetic, a junior film production major, find the time to express their creativity through the art of music. Both transform their feelings and experiences into tunes for listeners with similar journeys. Razor’s musical journey began at age 5 as he listened to his grandmother, Lillian Jones, a singer from a gospel music band, The Vocalaires.
