As an editorially independent student paper, The Record is an intentional learning environment. To uphold this learning environment and uphold journalistic integrity, The Record is made without the use of AI.
In addition to being a learning environment, The Record is a service to the Goshen College campus and community. We recognize that large language learning models and generative AI do not know GC nearly as well as any of our staff, writers or audience. Keeping our journalism human centered ensures accuracy and the longevity of trust and relationship with our readers.
