Goshen’s women’s tennis team hosts Cornerstone University today at 4 p.m. The Leafs have yet to snag a win this season but might pull through as the Golden Eagles come into the match with a record of 0-4.

In Goshen’s Tuesday match-up against Grace College, No. 3 doubles partners Corine Alvarez and Lauren Stoltzfus clenched the victory to earn the only point for Goshen, sending them home with a 1-8 loss. The newly paired Alvarez and Stoltzfus earned the team’s first doubles win of the 2011 season. The Leafs’ current record dwindles to 0-7, and 0-6 in conference.

The Golden Eagles have a young team this year with one sophomore and eight first years. The team has failed to win in individual and doubles matches.

The Leafs will travel to Mishawaka on Sept. 24 to take on conference foe, Bethel College.
